We rely on history and good name

1794 – Ignaz Rösler founds a knife factory in Mikulášovice (Nixdorf) in northern Bohemia, thus starting the long history of the Rösler company.

1811 – The company has 120 employees and becomes the largest steel plant in the monarchy.

1815 – The company moves from a small Czech province to the imperial capital of Vienna.

1821 – The company is taken over by Joseph Rösler and a department store is created from the open branch. The new owner is expanding his activities – in addition to selling his own goods, he is starting to operate a wholesale trade with steel, wooden, porcelain and ceramic goods from England, Germany and France.

1889 – The Viennese company is sold and from this time the successor of Ignaz Rösler is independent of the Czech factory.

1908 – The Rösler company passes into the hands of Karl Bruckner (part of the Rösler family) and Stefan Decker. Thirty years later, the company takes over the general representation of the famous Solingen knife factory E. Wüsthof – Dreizackwerk.

1941 – After the death of both partners, he joins in the person of Dipl. Ing. Friedrich Bruckner to the words of the young generation. At the beginning of the 1950s, the business acquired the general representation of a number of foreign companies, led by Victorinox.

1961 – Gerhard Bruckner (one of the owners of the company until 2023) takes over the management of the company at the age of only 18. The company takes over a number of new general offices of leading European brands, while at the same time becoming a specialist in importing from the Far East with its own Rex and Royal brands. The structure of the product range is also gradually changing – from a production-oriented wholesaler specialized in steel goods, it becomes a wholesaler of household, kitchen appliances and gift goods.

1977 – The company decides to expand its range to include gardening and camping products and acquires Weber Grillern and Giostyle.

1991 – Back to the Czech Republic – after the political changes in Eastern Europe at the end of the 80s, the company expands to a number of new markets. Among them is the Czech Republic, where a branch was established as RÖSLER Praha, spol. s.r.o. It gradually acquires exclusive representation of important manufacturers (Victorinox, Wüsthof, Gio Style, Sveico, Silampos and many others). The range focuses mainly on gift items, cutlery products, household and kitchen items and grilling items.

1998 – New director and partner Karel Gavlas takes the helm of RÖSLER Praha, who leads the company to the present day. Thanks to the sale of the parent company Rösler Wien, the Czech company becomes independent. It is expanding its range of suppliers and exclusive representatives for the Czech Republic and SK, at the same time taking over imports of products from Asia. Key categories remain knives (Victorinox, Wüsthof, Böker), kitchenware (Continenta, Cole&Mason, Kambukka, Tramontina, Weis, Orthex/Sveico, Pengo, Guzzini, Silampos, Risoli, Snips) and garden and barbecue (Cookking, Cadac, Napoleon, Sol, Gio Style, Favorit, Peddy-Shield). The company is expanding its range to include travel items, such as suitcases, travel bags, backpacks, or wallets (Victorinox, Kipling, Wenger, Bric's).

2023 - Karel Gavlas becomes the sole owner of the company. The company is constantly expanding its range to include other brands on the market. (for example Blim+, Alpen, ...)
